Gala Opening
We have a chance to attend an event for Answering the Call's Sequins after Sunset Gala. The event is March 28 at 5:00 p.m. at John Knox Village. Let Chris know if you want to attend. At the table so far is Alicia and her husband Dan, Rick, and maybe Chad and his wife Carrie. If you are interested let Chris or Alicia know.

Scholarship Update
The Club will be doing 4 scholarships for graduating seniors, one for each of the four high schools in the Independence and Fort Osage School Districts. Alicia is working on the Independence Scholarships. The Fort Osage scholarship has been selected. If anyone would like to present the Fort Osage Scholarship the award night is May 4 at 7:00 p.m. Let Alicia know if you are interested in making that presentation.
Giving Update
The Board approved a donated $100 to Junior Services League's Play It Forward: Friendly Competition, Elite Impact.
Independence Uncorked Update
59 tickets sold so far for the 2026 event. Sonci has a sponsorship meeting on Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Panera on 40 Highway in Independence if you are interested in helping. Chad shared he is working with Bingham Waggoner Historical Society for food vendors. Chad is looking into options for our VIP food with the help of Rick and Lori. Logistics are underway. Club members help is needed most with securing sponsors and helping to promote ticket sales.
