I was contacted by the Independence Chamber and they need help on Friday night the 29th for sure for the later evening shift 7:30 – 11:30 pm for the beer garden at main stage. If you are like me, that’s way past my bedtime, but I’m all in! Rick, I had you down for Friday but wanted to be sure that you were good with that late shift? John and Kristie … I have you down for Saturday night 5:30 to 8:00 pm shift. It looks like they could use a LOT more on the 29th late shift but I think any help would be appreciated. It’s really fun to work this. I think Friday night would be the most need. Let me know and I can get you signed up.

The purpose of the Annual Giving Thanks Community Connections event is to assemble non-profit (501c3) organizations and civic/service groups to learn more about services and support that each provides within the Independence Community. Looks like we had enough interest in participating in the October 30th, Early Childhood Center for Fort Osage Trunk or Treat. Stephanie Smith is the contact for that. ssmith@fortosage.net. We had Jessica, Sonci, John and Kristie sign up so far. Basically decorating someone’s trunk and passing out candy to the littles. It’s always fun to have a theme and do costumes and trunk in theme. Ideas anyone? It was suggested that the group might grab some dinner afterwards.
